Introduction

In the general persistence course, we saw why persistence is sometimes required, how to apply a persistence profile to a Virtual Server, and how to review persistence records using the persistence table.

In this course, we will focus on the Source Address Affinity persistence profile, which is one of the simplest and most commonly used persistence methods. We will review how it works, how to configure it, its advantages and limitations, and in which scenarios it is most appropriate to use.

By the end of this course, you should understand how Source Address Affinity maintains client stickiness based on IP address and how to properly configure and verify it on an F5 BIG-IP system.
